Starting a Campus Affiliate

An NCBI affiliate is launched by inviting skilled NCBI leaders to conduct a three-day train-the-trainer. In this program, students, faculty, and administrators learn how to lead NCBI’s award-winning Welcoming Diversity / Prejudice Reduction Workshop.

Following this training, NCBI selects a Campus Affiliate Director in consultation with the team and the institution. The Director serves as liaison with NCBI International and provides leadership for the campus team. The Director receives monthly telephone support and supervision from one of NCBI’s experienced Campus Program Directors.

Members of the campus team receive ongoing training and support through monthly campus meetings and may elect to attend NCBI’s Annual International Campus Conference held at Columbia University, New York City, New York, USA, where Campus Affiliates share resources and “campus best practices.”
